It is painful to write this. A few hours ago I lost our 12 yo Doberman, Welhelm. He was a loyal companion, loving and a super well behaved gentleman. Sunday morning when we put him out it was cool and he galloped around the the back yard. That evening he started with dry heaves, was very lethargic and appeared in distress. We took him to the emergency vet clinic where he was diagnosed with a torqued bowel. They could not do surgery, so we had to have him put down.

At least when he went over the rainbow bridge, my wife and I were there petting, talking to him and telling him we loved him. He was brave and not afraid. It really hurts to lose such a loyal companion.

We are very sorry for your loss. Dobermans are a wonderful, brave and loyal breed. We are presently on our third Dobie, Max. Again, our sincere condolences for your loss.

So sorry for your loss. Take comfort in the knowledge that you will meet again on the other side.

Sorry for the loss of your 4 legged buddy man. I have heard that the condition he was having is very painful and since they could not do surgery you actually saved him from more intense suffering. I have a friend that had an Akita back in the early 90's that had to have emergency surgery for gastric torsion, which saved the dog's life.

Thank you. We have had nothing but Dobis for 40 years. They are such wonderful dogs and it is heartbreaking every time we lose one of our fur babies.
