Love for the 3913

Have you tried iammo?

That's iammo. I followed the advice of another member here and just bought "more than one" from Terry at iammo. As promised, they came on time, were in great condition and relatively inexpensive, even with the sales tax I had to pay in this state. He's at www.iAMMO.com or 1-800-996-0615. Mine came from the Israeli police. I'm a happy camper!

Mine's a true keeper meaning it'll probably pass onto another's hands only when I'm gone.

There are a couple of 3953s sitting in a local LGS, this thread is making my wallet itch...

How much of an addict have I become? This much. Friday evening a LGS put up a listing for a 3913. Saturday morning, during the 45 minutes between flights, I called them and asked them to tag it with my name until I can get in there Tuesday to look at it.

Do I need another 3913? No. Will I buy another 3913? Probably. No details on the website other than the model number and a price. I won't know for sure what variation it is until I get up there.

I hope to, I have a line on a sweet 4006 that I need to follow up first. Luckily, the 3rd Gen is not fully appreciated in New Hampshire: the 3953s have been there for quite some time, along with couple of 4043s.

Added another one to the fold. Earlier 3913 (TEB5xx) serial number. Very good condition, but needs a cleaning and of course I'll put in a new recoil spring. Came with the box, anti rust paper, and one magazine. $424.95 OTB.

It might even be one that needs the grip recall done. I have to look more closely when I get home.

It will likely be more of a safe queen than anything else, but I thought that the price was decent.

Pictures to follow when I get it home and cleaned up.

You are correct. One of my 3913 is late production and has the MIM (black) parts. The other is older (year unknown) and has a silver trigger and hammer.

While on the subject of older 3rd generation semis. Does anyone remember the details of the recall for potentially faulty grips? I seem to recall that the grips that had been replaced had a small dimple on the bottom, but that's all I remember. The gun I picked up yesterday does not have the dimple and I think that S&W will still provide replacements. I just don't remember if there is anything special I need to do other than call customer service.

Pretty sure that the silver triggers are forged and machined, while the black triggers are the MIM parts.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong... :)

I just called and told them that I needed one for a 6906 and the 5906 I had at the time and the CS rep. said "ok,give me your address and we will get them right out"....didn't ask for serial #'s...nothing ..one would think they would keep track of something like that .....oh yea...I had them in about a week;)

Thanks. I'll give them a call tomorrow. I also need some flat magazine bottom plates. Maybe I can kill two birds with one stone.
