M 36

Picked up a model 36 friday night for $300. It is duracoated green, i know not good but it is for my wife to carry not range.
I have read all i can on manf. date but cant tell if it was made in
73 74 or 77 79. Ser # j668xxx.
Any idea when it was manf ?

I'd be comfortable with 1978. Pictures or it really didn't happen

Likely shipped in late 1978 to early 1979. The J with six numbers started in 1973 and lasted until the three-letter prefixes starting in about 1981.

It's not easy being green .
