M&P-15 22 Accessories

lol just got a mental pic... doing that while setting in a bing bag necked and eating cheetoes:D:D:D:D

Velvet Elvis hanging slightly crooked on the wall.... cat box at max capacity... grunts as wife walks by with toilet plunger....

Same here just got threaded with flash suppressor M&P 15 -22. best 22 ever!!! awaiting on backorder mag's.

Hello guys! Picked up my 15-22 earlier this week. Already have a reddot, Larue clips, light holder, and a stock saddle ordered. Ordering accessories is all I can do for now thanks to the inch of ice and 6" of snow that mother nature decided to dump on us.

HaHa. wives aren't allowed at our range. No real desire to teach em how to use a gun

Mine learned to shoot a pistol with my .44 magnum.
Has her own .45 1911, .44 snubby, Benelli 12 gauge, remington LT20 semi auto...
She also shoots my .300 win mag, double barrel coach gun, and M44 Nagant.
She encourages attendance at gun shows, schedules trips to the range, and handloads ammo.

Personally, I find her to be the perfect wife. :D

First time out with Magpul AFG. Really like it. Very easy and natural feeling way to grip the rifle. After the second or third mag it was like I had always used one.

I put an AimShot RDS on mine, MagPul XTM covers on the bottom with a Mako VFG, rubber ladder rail covers on the sides.

I have a VLTOR EMod on my entry carbine that I put on the 15-22 when I take it to the range. Not going to buy a second stock, just keep swapping them.

Almost finished with mine. 2nd gen with FH
Magpul MOE stock
Hogue grip
Magpul XTM panels...bottom and sides
Magpul ladder style rail cover...top
KNS anti-rotation pins (took a little finagling)
Bill Springfield trigger job-4lb (waiting)
Tapco short vertical grip
gg&g offset flashlight mount
Millet DMS-1 w/Burris p.e.p.r mount
All the Magpul gear and grips are OD green

Anyone got some extra Larue Index Clips (regular non tapeswitch guides). I got some extra Magpul XTM panels I'll trade ya.

sight?

I am looking for help on a red dot sight. Any good suggestions for under $150. I already have a flash suppressor and a grip pod. Can't decide on sights, a little help would be great.

Get some Magpul Mbuis they look slick on your rifle. I've been looking into the Primary Arms M4 aimpoint. Couple people on this forum recommended it. I like the fact that it has multi reticles to pick from.

A thread already going that may be usefull: http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-long-guns/116067-best-red-dot-sight-m-p15-22-a.html

I can add you will need some way of getting the sight off the flattop either by rings, risers or a handle with a weaver attachment. So it can be wise to look for something that doesn't require expensive mounts.
Both of these places offer good sights for lower prices compared to the high end stuff.

Imo stick with non magnified red dots that are 1x magnification, It makes it easier to pick up moving targets and gives a wider field of view. If you need magnification i suggest a scope personally.

Ive used cheap $30 Tasco's a few times that are the 30mm variety and pretty much do everything a $150 sight will do, I don't have the best eyes so im limited too 50 feet no matter if its a $30 sight or a $400 sight.
Im in no way saying a $30 sight is better, Im saying with crappy vision i cant take advantage of the improvements the $150 sight gives.

On a separate note i built one of the homemade bull barrel/fake suppressor thats in one of the other threads here. It was cheap and easy except the auto parts stores here only stock 1 package at every store, I had to hit 3 stores as i have plans for a second one.
It really makes the gun stand out nicely when lightly sanded and sprayed with a flat matte plastic specific paint.
It should have been noted that the 1.5" pvc was sink pvc not the heavy duty thick walled stuff i bought first, Luckily i tried to fit the bushing once i left the store and got into my car so i could get the correct one immediately.

id like to make one of these fake cans as well, i bought some pvc but im looking for the right bushings. which bushing do i ask for at the auto store? year, make, model?

Here is the thread:

2 shock absorbers/bushings for a chrysler/dodge at an auto store. model 31017.

You will find these in the small sections where they stock the "Help" products as its nothing they keep behind the counter, I found most stores only keep 1 in stock where i live so i had to visit 3 stores as i wanted to make 2 cans.
Just look for the part number as its generally the only shock bushing they stock in those sections.
The pvc are sink part's for drains, Not the thick walled 1.5" stuff that comes in 8' lengths. I bought the right stuff that was already black pvc and in 12" lengths so i could cut my own. Mine had flanges on one or both ends so you know you have the right type.
