M&P 15-22 Instructional Video Series

Guy,

Thanks for the compliments and the sticky!

If anyone has any requests please post them up and I will shoot them as time allows. A Barrel Removal and Reinstall video will be done as soon as I get my Barrel back from threading. For anyone wishing to remove their barrel and wanting to make a barrel tool please use the enclosed image as a blueprint and you can use 1" EMT Conduit available at Lowes.

Thank you

Thanks for the great video on the lower disassembly. I broke down my lower and did the spring mods thanks to vitamind3's instructions. I'm quite pleased with the results. It seems as if I took the 9+ lb trigger to the 4 lb range.

Appreciate the vids - VERY helpful! What are your thoughts about possibly using PVC for the barrel tool?

Defender,

PVC has been used by many here on the forums with mixed results. I wanted one tool that would last so I opted for metal and it was by sheer coincidence that EMT Conduit is exactly the right dimensions (see photo)

How about some more "introductory" videos to answer a lot of the questions we ask/see on here a lot:

- how to load the magazine
- cleaning
- etc

Yeah! TC that is a fantastic idea!

I am adding those to the list. Some of this will have to wait till the barrel is back in my hands, but I could shoot the how to load the magazine video this week, perhaps tonight.

loading technique

Hey I think these videos are great but, have a difference of opinion on proper magazine loading. I've never had any trouble using my method and believe it to be close to what S&W meant in their instructions.

Do not use the load assist to ever fully remove the stack tension from the round you are inserting into the magazine. Use the load assist only to help aid in sliding in the new round. I had two brand new shooters using my M&P this weekend and they both successfully loaded without any misaligned rounds following my instructions. If your way works for you that's all well and good but, I've never mis loaded any of 500 rounds yet.

When will your loud bird star(on camera) in your instructional vids? HA!

You mean as a target???? :D

The Cockatoo is one of those nice things my Dad left me last year when he passed away unexpectedly.... She's the gift that keeps on giving (me grief).

She added some interesting sound effects to the video, but my stupid cats ran and hid when they heard it! :o:eek:

Keep those videos coming, they are great. Thanks!
