M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

My M&P 15-22

my Very first AR platform-style weapon. I am enjoying it and adding features I like, best for myself.
Replaced the scope with a red/blue/ green crosshair sight. with second sight on top of it.
compensator.
2 point strap.
fuichi led flashlight.
wish.com vertical grab handle.
flip-up sights.
new buttstock on its way. I don't like the big hole in the original buttstock.

Accutact Angle Sight

Nice! what is that behind the red dot? A magnifier?

Btw, now you just need a Franklin Armory binary trigger for it. ;)

It's a Chinese knockoff of the Accutact Anglesight. It lets you aim and shoot around corners. The legit one costs around 250, but the knockoffs you can get on amazon for around $30. It's a simple clear acrylic cube with a mirror lens running at a 45 degree angle in the middle, mounted to a swivel. It works similar to how you can flip your rear view mirror up to dim headlights that are behind you. besides shooting around corners, another fun use is to rotate it in the opposite side so someone can stand next to you as you shoot and see how you're lining up your shots.

Hey Folks! Totally new to the forums and long gun ownership. My first is the 15-22. I have caught the upgrade and upfit bug after just a few range days. I am awaiting the last of all the stuff I can change/upgrade to arrive midweek this week. After I am done I will post a few pics with an itemize list of what changed. Looking for feedback and advice. I know I went to the edge with this one. Thanks.

WARNING! it is easy to get the addiction and before you know your hundreds of dollars into just fixing up your gun.
Every time you look at an AR15 you will think, wow, I'll bet my 15-22 would look cool with one of those, or look cool like that.
It can become like a gambling addiction or like any other addiction, suddenly your wanting to replace every OEM piece on your gun till you've created FRANKENSTEIN'S 15-22.
Use extreme caution my friend.

Purchased October, 2020 - pretty hard to find recently with the pandemic/election panic-buying and whatnot.

M&P 15-22 Sport

* Magpul flip-up sights (stock)
* Adaptive Tactical replacement adjustable stock with extra-thick butt-pad.
* Xaegis M-Lok bipod.
* Angled front foregrip
* Inexpensive green laser sight on offset Picatinny rail mount (so it doesn't obstruct the sights)
* 3x25-round magazines and 1x10-round magazine

Extremely fun to shoot!

Good score on that 15-22p. I had a chance to buy one a few years back and passed on it. I regret it now.

Good news my dude… I was shocked and stoked to find out that the mp15-22p is BACK at the last gun show I went to! It’s slightly different from the gen 1 as they all come with a permanent faux buffer tube/arm brace combo now instead of the gen 1’s QD pop switch hole at the butt of the gun, and a longer barrel. Personally I love the gen 1 pistol variant better but I’m totally considering adding a gen 2 to the collection cause it’s a sweet middle ground between the two!

What’s the “evilness” of this early production model?

Just a joke. It was NY compliant at the time before the SAFE Act made it a crime to own. It was then considered an AW.

The stock was pinned so as not to be adjustable. AW. Came out in less than a minute.
No flash hider allowed either, I left it as is.

I've got one of those things. I've never shot it, but it's here. About as basic as they come I suppose. I saw it at the LGS on sale and thought "I should have SOME kind of AR type rifle I suppose." Since I have several thousand rounds of 22 ammo stashed away I suppose I should shoot it someday. I just hate to shoot 22's at the indoor range. They need to be shot outside, at cans and such.
