M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Just picked mine up today...STD version with threaded barrel...DVA3XXX SN.
Pulled it out of the box, cleaned it and then shot almost 50 rounds of CCI mini mags at 50 yds with it until a jam happened (See pic) ....hoping it was a Mag issue but will know tomorrow when I put more rounds thru it. Fingers are crossed.
Already going through all the websites looking for upgrades too..

had that happen a few times, when loading dont pull follower all the way down, and be sure that the rim of shells dont go behind the one you put in before.

Okay thanks, I knew about making sure it was in a zig zag but I didn't know to look out for this also. Thanks again.

yes zig-zagged, and the rims cant overlap. the rim of the shell you put on top has to stop at the previous rim, it cant hop over. at least that was what was causing my jams. only took twice to figure it out. havent had any other jam or FTE. it is a super ammo muncher. i go and put at least 500 per trip. ammo types are a big issue. CCI ive shot has had zero FTF. the remington gold had like 9 or 10 per box, and you get gold finger tips. federal is good, and the winchester targets are also good.

It is the mag/loading that causes these....the gun is fine...

....I had some fun tonight at our "private" rifle range..this is bulk Winchester 333 @ 100yds!!

The 2 flyers were zeroing shots.

I added a 1/4" cheek riser to my MOE stock today. It looks pretty cool, and most importantly brings my eye right on line with the red dot. Gotta love Magpul. :D I enjoy making fun of them, but they do make good products.

They are readily available at your favorite online store and run about $19. You can choose between .25, .5, and .75 inch rise. The same cheek risers fit both MOE and CTR stocks.

MOE - Magpul Original Equipment

The stock will fully collapse with the riser on. With the riser attached, the first and second positions for the stock prevent the charging handle on the 15-22 from pulling back completely. At the third position, the charging handle will just barely come back fully, and it is enough to lock the bolt back. All remaining positions work as usual.

here's my son's 15-22. Just finished "dressing it up." He's loving it.
