M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

I just returned from the range today and the UTG covers stayed in place on mine. I dont' know why yours wouldn't ? These UTG's I have are the small individual covers that are about 3" each in length.

Hmm... that might explain the movement since your gripping the panels. I have the broom handle on the rail and hold onto that and not onto the panels. I actuallly find my UTG's to be on the rail solid to the point of having a seriously hard time moving them manually to position them when I put them on...... don't know ?

This is my first post, though I've been lurking around these forums for awhile. I think I'm just about done outfitting my rifle with the exception of finding a front sling adapter at a decent price (I can't stomach paying $20-$30 for 10 cents of material). I personally prefer the iron sights to my Barska red dot sight in most cases, though it is pretty fun. I love the rifle and just couldn't help but showcase mine as well.

Jakatan, coming along very nicely! I know what you mean about the red dot. I used mine today and preferred the irons over using the red dot. I'm leaning more toward a 2x scope with crosshairs. I'll just put the red dot back on the Ruger MKII.

I decided to get a scope to replace the red dot sight for when I wanted to use an optic. It's a centerpoint 3x-9x illuminated... I picked it up from walmart for about $60. I need to buy some new scope rings for it but for now some old ones that used to belong to an m16 will do.

I've read some good things about the centerpoint scopes from WalMart. As mentioned it is a good idea to use better scope rings.

I am using a NcSTAR AR Riser With Quick Release Weaver Mount Item#:MARFQ and Medium Rings. Leupold are recommended because they are made in the States, in Portland Oregon. This setup co-witneese perfect with the iron sights. That way you don't have a different cheek weld from open sights to scope. Oh yeah, it is a 50mm scope.

i have the same scope(center point) and those rings that come with aren't good.
had problems where i had to rezero my scope everytime i shot then found out it was the rings getting loose

Yeah, they're not the rings that came with it (The ones that came with my scope were dovetail). The ones I have now are a bit nicer, but they're also a bit older and have some wear to them.

Jakatan, what do you think of the UTG fore grip?

Does anyone have a picture of an M&P 15/22 with a carry handle/stock front sight? If not, if anyone has the carry handle and could take a pic I would really like to see that. Thanks in advance!

Here is another look
