I finally modified the stock today so I could fit the sling adapter on it. I finally got up the nerve to take the dremel to it. The polymer underneath is slightly lighter in color so I'll probably paint it if it shows too much.
I have the CC&G Agency sling adapter, Magpul XTM rail panels, Tango Down vertical grip, Magpul MS2 Sling, Streamlight TLR-1 with remote switch, and I just got the Barska 1X30 IR electro-sight.
I was suprised that the with the Barska mounted, that the stock sights co-witnessed in the lower 1/3 of the sight.
Next I want to change the stock and the pistol grip. I was going to get the Magpul flip-up sights but I'm not sure if I will now.

How do you like the site? I just got one for Xmas havnt got a chance to shoot yet

So far so good. It was cold and windy Christmas and I mainly wanted to "test" the gun. My son and I are going tomorrow and we'll get it set tight. I like that once set I can quickly swap to a different range.

I'll post results tomorrow.

What did you have to do to get the sling adapter to work and stay in place without sliding on the tube?

Looking awesome!

How did the Barska line up with the rail and sights? Is it slightly off-center or dead-on?

center is fine as for the flip up sites the are lower than the reticle on the barska. going shooting tomrrow after work to site every thing in

Went out today and put another 600 rounds into the berm. I fired 75 rounds of Federal Auto-Match with zero problems. 75 rounds of Federal Lightning with zero problems. The rest were Federal 550. Near the end I started having some problems I attribute to the fact it was really getting cruddy. Overall I remember two rounds jammed in the mag and 4 crushed rounds, the rest of the minor problems were a few fail to eject, a few fail to fire.
I got the Barska sighted in tight. It worked real well. We were hitting 4" computer hard drive disks and skeet at 25-50-75 and 100 yards consistently. I know the accuracy would be better if I could resist the urge to always squeeze off two or three rounds each time…….

Here is another shot of mine.

What are the heights of those flip up sights?

What are the heights of those flip up sights?

The flip up sights when in the down (folded down) position measure 5/8" from the rail to the highest point.

The very top of the sight when fliped up is 1 5/8" from rail to very top

They co-witness very well with my Primary Arms M4.

how is your sling mounted on the muzzle end? I bought a sling with mine and there's nothing to mount it to.

I am using the one piece picatinny mount (on eBay) from Isreal. It is VERY well made, no sharp edges and I got a sling to go with it. Some other buyers even got a flashlight too.

Very nice. Do you have a pic w/ them in the up position and the scope on? I want some but I think I may need a riser mount to get my scope in line though.

So i got to shoot today the Barska site worked great i love it, but i did learn some thing today. When you are buying ammo make sure the people who hand it to you hand you the right stuff!
I told the guys at the range I wanted CCI ammo 100round mini mag round nose. So they hand me a box and i go out to the range get ready to load and realize they have me subsonic ammo, so i figured im here ill try it... yeah it doesnt have enough kick to push the bolt back and eject and load the next round so i had to do it manually then a spent shell found its way back to the trigger and hammer. So when i tried to fire all i got was a click broke it down and the shell was preventing the hammer from moving all the way /sigh. Fix that and went back to the normal ammo and every thing was fine.

TLDR
Barska electro site 1x30mm = good
subsonic ammo in 15-22 = bad
subsonic ammo is cool though cause it makes like zero noise

Not very good pics but hopefully you get the idea. First one is just the front iron sight up. Second one is with the front and back irons up. It was hard to get these pics using just a portable digital with auto focus.

One reason for butpad

-if you take off stock you will notice that there is a plastic cork thingy, if you pull that off the tube is great for storing batts and ammo, you get a little more room if you leave the cork thingy off, reinstall your stock and add a butpad to keep it from falling out.

The only problem with that is if the stuff stored in the receiver extension slides out into the stock, it could jam it up so that you cannot retract the stock.

true, but i have my stock set where i like it, also keep everything in a tube inserted into the tube.

also when I sit it in the corner it rests on the rubber buttpad and not the hard plastic stock.
