M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

thought it looked like a Belt-Fed piece, but I was under the impression he only made them for threaded barrels which I don't have. Is it held on with a set screw(s) then?

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and just purchased my M&P 15-22. I have to say, It's a lot of fun!! As far as mods go, I think I'm pretty much done. The only other thing I'd like to do is thread the barrel and add a muzzle brake.

not the best pic but has been a very good rifle. probably 5000 rds thru it and zero problems, prefix DTH. short mag makes good benchrest shooting.

When collapsed it stands at 6" and can extend to 9". Here's a link to it....

Edit: probably gonna ditch the VFG, I can't stand it. I might try a Magpul AFG, not sure yet though. Also debating a low power scope and putting the red dot on my SKS...

Really like the look of your rifle. I was thinking about painting my magazines too.

Thanks, it'll look alittle different in a couple weeks. More color is going to be added I think.

If you do paint the mags, paint them how i have them in the picture, with the top area black. I painted my original mag completely tan, and it was a REALLY tight fit sliding it into the mag well with the minimal thickness from the paint. it has now woren the parts off but the ones i left the top side alone with work just fine and dandy.

Just got done shooting about 150 rounds and figured id take some pictures for you guys. Only things added are a BSA Tactical scope, folding grip and rifle sling. Hope you like it.

Updated look:

I removed the AFG and donated it to another AR build, and swapped the PA optic and mag onto another gun. It's running a cheap Tasco red dot now but for a 22 plinker it works pretty well.

It is duracoat FDE, with a few minor color additions to get the look I was going for.

My wife is a photographer, so she set the lights and everything up to take the pics. The color came out great and the only editing done in that pic was adding the black border.

Picked her up Thursday night. Added an Eotech 556 and away we go...shot about 10 flawless mags Friday and cleaned her up ready for this upcoming weekend.
