M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Yep we used a mesh laundry bag :)
Thought so, your friend has a good eye and a nice touch.
Its very easy to go too far when using a technique like that.
But I have to say he didn't and it turned out very nicely.

Do you know what kind/brand of paints he used for it?

OK, I've been scratching my head for a couple days and I have to ask. Everything I have read about the CAR-1 and similar shrouds is that they go the other direction (i.e. they add no length to the barrel). So, is your CAR-1 installed for photography purposes only (which does look really cool), or do you actually shoot it with the shroud in that orientation.

There are a couple different kinds of the can. CAR-1 goes back into the hand guard, I think he got the ET-1.

those are my sights on bottom rail. Red Dots are cool- but batteries die- and probably not when you are expecting it

Just a 'stock' pic for now, after picking it up yesterday and cleaning it.

I already have a bunch of stuff for it, but still waiting on a couple more things. Then I'll figure out how I want to set up my rifle.

Isnt the aimpoint mounted too far back rendering the flipup mbus sight useless as it will smack in the aimpoints face?

Besides that, nice gun!
(What flashlight is that?)

Yes it's too far back, just mounted for pics only, still have not shot her yet, still New!

Its a Spikes CAR-1.. ;)

so does that CAR-1 you have, able to look like a barrell Shroud and a screw on can as well..? b/c the pic you have on like page 162 shows it as a barrel shroud looking can, not a screw on, I love the look both ways, but i like the shroud look just a little bit better.. You're going to make me buy one cause it just looks so sexxxy..LoL

Not quite as detailed as the MRI shroud. I wanted a bit smoother in appearance.
6061 billet threaded adapter with a 6063 anodized outer tube then painted in a high heat ceramic.
I toyed with the idea of leaving it clear anodized aluminum but opted for the black to match the rest.
