M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

New member, 1st post. There are some really nice pics here, of some really sharp looking guns. I just got into the 15-22 thing, with this guy here:

I started off with the scope, but went to the red dot, which I prefer. Needs the flip up sights, and maybe better stock.

Bonus: It came in this color.

LOVE the color! Agreed on flip up sights if you are runnig a red dot. Magpul MBUS work really well on the 15-22. Welcome!

just wondering what brand you used to coat that? looks like the Camo Dip Kit - Do It Yourself Water Transfer Camo Dip Kit skull pattern. also, how intricate was the process?

Yes it is dipped, can't remember the name I think it's just called big skulls.

Heres my Digital Marpat...Got tired of the extreme detail of pure digital pattern,was taking a long time. Near the end i did nore of a muted Digital or Multicam look as can be seen in photo. if you look close thats it up against a tree. I painted everything including the bolt.

Here's a couple pictures of mine, nothing special and no major mods... I had big plans for this gun but just throwing the tan rail covers on to add some contrast really did a lot to it as it is!! plan on adding a magpul stock for a little more tan-to-black color ratio.

Also got the custom mag catch/takedown/pivot pins from NDZPerformance. Have the matching gadsen mag release button but have yet to install it.. might just stick with the stock one for the time being.

...and for your 3rd question, how's that magnifier working out for you? I have a PA red dot and am debating between a scope or magnifier for it.

Billy - I'm really happy with my multiple recticle PA M3 Red Dot and PA 3x Magnifier with flip-to-side mount combo, as it gives me the best of both worlds...quick target acquistion or magnified sighting for precise target shooting at the flip of my wrist.

My only complaint with my current setup is that because of the central mounting design of the PA Magnifier and the width of the flip-to-side mount, I had to remove my rear MBUS...So now I'm thinking about swapping it out with a Vortex magnifier where it mounts further up front which will allow me to retain the use of my rear MBUS.

Paint and the 15-22

Howdy! i have had my 15-22 for about 2 years now.At first it has some issues with ejecting shells and stove-piping some...i think i got that problem solved.I really enjoy the gun,prolly shoot it more than any of my others!I got a wild hair last week and thought i would throw some paint on it!Here are a couple pics of before and after....think it turned out pretty good! I didn't paint the entire mags.I stopped about 2 or so inches from the top.Didn't think the paint be good up that close to the reciever....
