M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

This is my first post this is a great site and thanks for all the info. I set out originally to buy an M&P 15-22, but ended up with a Mossberg tactical 22. The Mossberg was a great gun, super accurate and reliable unlike most reviews. Shot well over 1000 rounds through it will only 2-3 miss feeds. I ended up selling it for more than I had in it too. I will say that the M&P is a better built gun. The Mossberg magazine was really wobbly and breaking it down to clean was a pain in the butt. The M&P I purchased had the full 10 round magazine. I live in SC so I took a long screw driver and hammer and knocked out the limit pin. Now the magazine holds 25 rounds. The only mod as of now is Knights grips. I plan on mounting my Olight m21, foregrip, scope, laser and getting a few extra magazines and maybe a sling.

Here is my new toy. The Black MOE Edition

So Far I have mounted the Red Dot I had in the Safe, Ordered 3 more Mags from 44mag.com, ordered a tactical bag from Midway and did the Crayon trick. Trying to sneek away today after a meeting to put some rounds through it.

What are yall using to wipe away the extra paint/crayon after doing the color fill?

I plan on using paint, but need to know what is safe for the polymer.

Thanks.

Crayon - a rag with WD-40 on it.
Acrylic paint - rag damp with water.
Oil based paint - rag with paint thinner.

Personally, I would NOT use oil-based paint on the 15-22. I originally used crayon, but then removed it and used acrylic hobby paint.

Just to keep the pic thread flowing, I added a magpul 1/4" cheek riser, and a tacticool22 ambi charging handle, also I painted it semi flat black so it color matched better, and made a few cuts in it for better grip....

I think next week I'm gonna add the magpul .70 butt pad, this effin toy is a money pit....lol... But I really wanna get the Sightmark Ultra shot reflex sight....

Be gentle she's shy. I have had this gem for over a year now. I know I'd get an AR-15 in the future and wanted to use this as a test platform and everyone that shoots needs a .22lr.

Dude i've got a Schmidt and Bender 1.1-4x24 PMIII Short Dot on a LaRue QD mount on mine right now!!!! $2600 worth of glass and mount! it is just on there for S&G's until an older EOtech 512 comes in for it. The S&B is for a dedicated 6.8 that i'm working on so i had to have some place to put it! makes the gun about 5 more pounds heavier!

New to the forum as well as the m&p15-22. Just purchased today. 3 xtra mags and a redfield revolution 3-9x40 scope. Waiting on a burris pepr mount for it. Bought so much the pawnshop guy threw me a truglo red/green dot to play around with. Love the weapon so far. Have yet to shoot it, but i cant wait. I also havea grip/bipod combo on the way as well. Whatcha think? Glad to be here on the forum, thanks, Nick.

Ok, I said I was gonna wait till next week, but I couldnt wait.... So I got the magpul .70 butt pad, rsa, ms3 sling, battle arms ambi safety selector, and utg bipod at the Middletown gun show today....

Also, I just thru the safety selector in there..... It is a bit smaller tho, but if your not constantly switching it, I don't see any problem with it being so close..... I did polish the backings of the levers with fitz, just incase when I do move them, at least they will slide easier on the polymer....

I guess let me know what you people think?,

i see everyone putting picture up and i do not know how. Can anyone help?

As you can see I use my Flickr account, so once I upload the pics from my phone to the computer, I goto Flickr, see which pics I wanna show , click on it, then above it it says share, click that, And I use the bbcode, choose what size you want the pic to be seen, then copy and paste it here....
