M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

ugh, it sucks to be outside the USA and own guns, all the cool parts arnt available outside the US and most people incl NDZ, cant/wont ship :(

we are allies and still its impossible, grrr.

Oh well, no zombie slaying stuff for me.

eBay..... tons of Asia based sellers and they will ship anywhere typically as most of their clients are not in the country they are.

Added scope and stuff

Got the scope mounted up today and went to sight in the MBUS and the glass but unfortunately going to have to pull it and remount on the riser. Apparently this thing needs more than 3.5" of eye relief. Still very pleased w/ it as long as I leaned back a bit.

Gonna remount it tonight and try to hit up the outdoor range tomorrow. Really wish I had a gun vise.

You could find someone you trust here, place your order, have it sent to their address, and pay them to ship to you. ;)

Th at would be a violation of ITAR and could lead to felony charges. I'm wanting sine parts from Midwest Industries but they don't ship either.

A lot of places have a $100 limit because that's where ITAR automatically kicks in. Brownells is good at shipping sub 100 parts. Shipping doors not count towards the $100 limit.

That being said any laser engraving company should be able to do something like that zombie hunter Magpul grip. The grip itself isn't subject to ITAR, less than $100, not a listed part and Magpul is on the allowed shop ping list. You could also use an Airsoft part, but will probably need a GAS BLOW BACK grip. The AEG ones are thicker than normal to hold the motor.

I agree that ITAR sucks balls though. It isn't like Hamas is going to buy equipment individually from an online shop and any group wanting to bypass ITAR either can get registered or will bypass it illegally anyway.

Direct replacement parts of a personal weapon that is already sold outside the U.S. (grips, charging handles, mag release buttons, etc) are not on the USML, and can be purchased by foreign nationals. ITAR restricted items are usually individually listed by the exporter as not being able to ship outside the U.S., and they are restricted because of the technology that was used in them or that they possess. Just because a company doesn't ship outside the U.S., doesn't mean their items are subject to ITAR.

i think its mostly because shops dont want to do that. All Magpul items are available here, only at double the cost.

Many companies don't want the hassle of dealing with international sales. A couple of the photographic equipment suppliers I use are that way.

The best is I keep getting "no sale due ITAR" when I order something, yet I can go down to my local Airsoft shop and buy pretty much any ITAR restricted item I want, because they are registered to trade in ITAR items. Real steel ones. I just have to pony up the $, which is what I'm trying to avoid by ordering online......

Maybe this should be a forum topic and not posts in the Picture Thread. No disrespect intended. Just a thought.

Here are some pics of my 15-22:
I have added a:
Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40 BDC scope
Hogue AR15 grip...my hands are a bit small for this grip though I love the feel
Weaver AR15 single rail
Weaver Grand Slam 1" medium top mount rings
Three 10 round magazines...darn NY laws...and an Uncle Mike's tactical gun case that also fits the gun great.
And, of course, the Crayola Crayon coloring :)
I will be adding a bipod, magazine well grip...preferred hold position...and probably replacing the Hogue with a Magpul grip without the finger slots.
I've gone through 1000 rounds with nary a glitch and it sited in quite well at 50 yards. I like the BDC for 100 yard shots. I really like how easy it is to dismantle and clean.
