M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Not sure how I haven't added to this thread yet. Here's the most recent setup for my 15-22. The can is so new, I haven't shot the rifle with it on yet. Hoping to change that next weekend.

nice. :) do you run a spacer with the can?

I used the spacer that sat behind the flash hider. Here's a pic of the can backed off of the threads, showing the spacer, (cone end first) for reference. I hand tightened it and it seems to fit about right.

I roughly measured it out with a small dowel, and it seems to be enough of a space. I'm planning to measure it out with a caliper to make sure it's got clearance before I shoot it.

There is no spacer behind a flash hider. It is a crush washer and you never use a crush washer with a can.
The spacer is needed if you use a pistol suppressor on a rifle.
Pistol threads are .450 long, where rifle threads are .625 long. So you need a spacer about .18 long so the muzzle doesn't hit the first baffle and render the can almost useless.

so...is the set-up in the pic incorrect?
when I receive my can I will be using it on a 4.5" barrel cut to sliencerco specs so I don't think I will have an issue there. however, I just purchased a .22 compact that's already has the threaded adapter so i'm not sure how my dead air mask will install on it.

First post!

This is my brand new 15-22. Came with the magpul stealth gray furniture you see here. Have a vortex 3-9x40 crossfire ii and a 1 piece mount on the way for it. Went with the BDC reticle.

Plan on a flash can, bipod and maybe a new trigger down the road. Excited to get this out and some rounds down range soon!

Mine. It has a Tacticool22 Charging Handle, a Mag-Pul MOE vertical grip, Rock River Arms picatinny scope mount, a Leupold Scope, and the White upgrade on the lower assembly. Future upgrades will be a Rock River Arms trigger upgrade, and a front mounting point for a sling.
