Is there a modified magazine for this gun that makes it legal in NY or other States with magazine capacity regs. I live in NY but spend lots of time in Florida where this gun is legal. I would like to buy one for carrying in Florida but would like to be able to take the same gun back to NY with me. With the modified mags....

Yes, the factory makes 10 round magazines (legal in NY) but apparently you can only load them with 7? You probably know the laws there better than I.

What he said. Just make sure the mags you order are for your model Compact.

The 4" Compact take 15 round mags. The 10 round version can be found here (in stock). Others sources may have stock as well.

M&P9 M2.0 Compact Magazine 9mm 10 Round Black Smith and Wesson 3011499

The M&P Compact 1.0 takes 12 round mags (like the 2.0 Subcompact). There are 10 round versions as well, but these won't fit your 2.0 compact.

So just be aware to make sure when it says Compact, it's 2.0 not 1.0.

If you grab the MP 2.0 Compact 40 No one makes a 10 round for it. Only 13s. So you end up using a fullsize 10 round magazine which increases the grip area. Not great but it works. I live in behind the lines in MA and had to go with the full size 10 rounders. I have also been consistently sending Smith emails begging for 10 rounds for the 2.0 40c.
