M&P 2.0 Competitor for California

Does anyone know or have they heard if Smith & Wesson will make an M&P 9 competitor for us California shooters who compete in IDPA and USPSA?

I have not heard anything. Don't hold your breath. The way S&W handles the Chamber Load Indicator would interfere with the optics. Note, none of the CA compliant M&Ps have optics cuts. Plus all the other required CA "safety features", required testing, fees, etc., might not appear attractive enough for S&W to sink the investment.

I agree with your statement. I heard that there are some places that due slide cuts but you loose the loaded chamber indicator
