M&P 22 SIGHTS , OPTIONS ?

I went with a center fire rear site on my M&P22. Everything seems to hit where my sights point.

Dawson and Hiviz seem good though.

i have dawson front n rear.
i tried just the front but it was shooting high.
then i bought the rear and it still shoots high. its still 2" high with a 6 oclock hold, which is acceptable for me because the gun is used for silhouette plinking so i can see exactly what im hitting since the posts dont cover the target. shooting at my colorful paper splatter targets with the fiberoptic inserts get distracting.

sights themselves are high quality but their customer service was rubbish. id go hi viz next time.

Some people have put the rear sight from a FS M&P9 on the M&P22 and been happy with it. The good news is it's only about $15.

I just ordered a front and rear f/o from Dawson. I called prior to ordering and was told they were out of stock but fill the order as soon as possible. They're located about 30 miles away from where I live so I'll be driving there to pick them up. I'll let you know the wait time and what I think of them when I get them.

I suggest an optic, red dot is my preference. You can machine the slide(expensive) or get a dovetail mounting base. Ever since I put my Burris Fastfire II on there I have never even considered going back. Target acquisition is faster on the draw, less strain on your eyes, and no having to align sights. Put the bead where you want it and pull the trigger. Not that expensive either. I got the mount and the sight for $275. And as you can see I have the 9c and even with the sight I still rock my Galco IWB. The red dot clears the holster all together. I get a pic up later of what it looks like when I'm wearing it. Get a sight, you'll thank yourself!

Although they were accurate I never did like the factory rear sights on the M&P .22. When I replaced my M&P 9c factory sights with Ameriglow night sights, I put the old 9c sights on my my M&P 22. Took them both in at the same time and the gunsmith who installed the night sights didn't even charge me for transferring the old ones to the .22, and they work great. FYI he had to slightly file down the dovetail on old 9c front sight to get it to fit the .22. Said the rear sight slid right in.
