M&P 9 vs. Glock 19

Well, I have the M&P 9 and 9c. For me, the 9c is strictly a CC firearm. I much prefer the full-size 9 at the range; the grip is just better. My son has a G19. All our guns have stock sights and triggers. Both are easy to field strip and clean. The G19 does not feel as comfortable in my hand as the full-size M&P 9. That said, I still shoot my son's G19 better than both the M&P's. I will likely get the G19 for my next EDC.

Bottom line, shoot both under the same conditions.

S&W runs the same program for 'First Responders'.

I buy all my M&P's for $399 with three mags, $455 with night sights and Shields for $335. ;)

And I have the S&W warranty service if needed.... :D

.

First I've heard of S&W's program. What are the details and what do I need to do to get it? Do they offer it to retired military?

I'm approaching the "itch" for my next gun.

Both have their pro's and con's. G 19 trigger is much better than M&P. Put the AEK trigger in the M&P and it's really the perfect gun for me. I still like shooting the G 19 though.

Yes, that really is true. Wonder why? The SD'S, are very close in size to the G19, but not the M&P.

The M&Pc's are sized in the middle of the G26 and G19. Having all three (gen 2 and 3 on the Glocks), I'd vote the ergonomics of the M&P are far superior.

Beyond that the rest is mostly a wash or easily upgraded.

p.s. If you reload, there is the issue that the glock is not recommended for lead bullets.

Glock actually doesn't recommend reloading period. And if glock finds out you've put reloads through it, the warranty is junk.

I agree with glock. If your gonna get one, dont shoot reloads.

Glock has an issue with unsupported chambers, and 95% of glock kabooms are due to over pressurization of reload rounds. Its a dangerous game of roulette......One I wont play myself after having my G22 kaboom on factory ammo :/

I load my paper killers light and use a lone wolf barrel, never had a problem.
