M&P........Glock

My M&P .40 has over 5000 rounds through it and it just keeps on getting better and better. It is now my main match gun for IDPA and USPSA. Dry fire the heck out of it, spend the money you would have on an action job on ammo...it will reward you!

It takes more than three seconds to remove the clip and check the barrel for a round. If you do this first there is no way you can blow your foot off. All the same if you can strip a Glock in 3 seconds I expect that will be on the Glock page soon or on utube.

First, its a magazine, not a clip........and I was remiss in not specifying that it is 3 seconds after removing the magazine, and pulling the trigger.........I have, now, 4 M&Ps, and love them, but they are not as fast a strip........at least for me. The lever is fussy.....
The M&Ps triggers vary wildly.....of course the 9 Pro is like butter........4 pounds? Seems to me. A .357 SIG C is just a little bit more.....a .45 C is another pound........and a full size .45 is somewhere around 7-8 pounds.....since it is my main "home gun" that is probably good. Legally speaking.

I thought the same when I first shot the M&P but the more I just put a finger tip on the trigger the better it became. The M&P trigger takes a little time to get use to but after you get use to truly squezing the trigger instead of pulling the trigger it's will be hard to find a better set up. It's a lot differen't than most triggers but it doest take long to prefect it and shoot a better group. In short the trigger requires you to shoot as you should. And yes you can lighten up the trigger but after you get use to it you will not have the need.

Thanks for correcting me as clip and magazine is such a huge diference in the point I was making. Stripping any semi auto in 3 seconds would be truly impressive. No insult meant, I agree the lever is a bit fussy but I expect if you own 4 M&P's you got it down to a science.

Lt JL. What in the world are EDCs and LGS? I need to know ASAP. OK. Haha. Just kiddin'. I love my M&P and think the trigger is alot better than a new Glocks trigger. The M&P trigger will smooth and lighten up alittle on it's own but alot of gunsmith's claim it can be lightened alot...to around 2.5-3 lbs.
Will B. You ever been shot at and had to return fire? You sure you always hit what you aim at, even when it's shootin' at you? I don't carry extra mags either but only because of weight and concealment issues. I hope the rounds I carry are enough to get me to safety until the calvary shows up. The words never and always will get you almost every time.
Matt Yes I've been shot at and had to return fire and yes I know I hit what I shoot at even when there is return fire.
