M&P Trigger Surprise

I went back to my LGS this afternoon and have to report the reset is exactly still like they were and you can barely feel it unlike in the new Shields. That said though they were still spectacular triggers so perhaps S&W is in transitioning to the newer Shield type using up older parts.

The LGS I was at had M&Ps with the new trigger but still had more with the old trigger. So I'm not surprised you haven't been able to find new ones yet, give it a couple of months.

M&P Trigger

I just did my quals with the M&P 45. Shot 100% with a nice little group . The trigger is great!

What I saw from a S&W rep was the new trigger was going into the .45 first, the 9 and 40 would come later.

This makes sense since I've only noticed the new trigger in .45s, plus the .45s used to have the crappiest triggers, so the change was VERY noticeable for me. Couldn't believe what my finger was feeling!

I always wondered if the factory has multiple lines for assembly of different M&P pistols or do they have a single assembly line and one day they make Shields and the next day they make say .45c's? I guess what I am asking is do the same group of people assembling pistol's work on all variations of that pistol! Are they now using a different sear or are they spending a bit more time smoothing out contact area's of the trigger group much the way you do a Burwell trigger job?

I've had a 9mm M&P Shield for over a month and purchased a M&P 9mm FS recently. To me the triggers feel about the same, both are smooth (no grit) and have crisp break.
