I had no plans, nor did I want to torture test my stuff. Regardless, my 9mm compact failed to survive.

Before the test.

After testing

During testing, proctored by a dedicated group of professionals.

Why yes I suppose it would. Both of my 870's suffered the same fate. Their remains are still being disassembled to be disposed of.

It sucks, but has been a very good life lesson in dealing with loss, and putting it all in the rearview and looking forward.

Looks like you had it stored unloaded. Did the barrel melt? It looks like it isn't there?
Glad you came out undamaged, fire is devastating.
Take care
Karl

A picture speaks a thousand words.....Sad picture.

Sorry to hear of your lose, glad you were not hurt.

Now you can work to rebuild your collection and maybe a safe? The guns can still be damaged but less likely to be stolen.

Fire is unforgiving, that is certain. As long as you and loved ones avoided injury, i'd label it as a successful type of day. As said, things can be replaced. life and limb cannot. I deal with fire on a regular basis; it is to be respected and to a degree, feared.....

Wow sorry things can change in life in a blink. Haveing been threw a life changeing in blink thing. I will tell you it makes you far stronger than ever before. Dont be afraid to ask for hand back up.Prayers are sent for you and yours.

Sorry for your loss. :( Just glad no one was lost in that fire.

I think you can put a new frame on it and make it work...just kidding. Been through a fire. Remember: It's just stuff that you can replace. As long as everyone is ok then just a blip in your life.
