I just recently purchased a New M&P VTAC in .40. It is a complete disaster. First there was a large gash or missing chunk of plastic in the frame, second issue is that the magazines don't drop free from the pistol and you have to give them a pretty good tug to get them out, that was before I fired the first shot. I took to the range today and it jams every 3 or 4 rounds. It does it with both factory supplied magazines. The rounds don't feed they go about halfway into the chamber and stop. I tried 3 different types of ammo, FMJ, hollow points, 155gr and 180gr from speer and winchester all with the same results.
I have own 3 other M&P pistols (M&P 9, M&P 40c and M&P 22), I carry the M&P 45 as a duty weapon and have not had one single issue. What's with the VTAC I did some research online and it seems like everyone has problems with them does anyone know why? Does Viking tactical finish them and put on their sights, I'm just curious what you think and why they seem to have so many issues with magazines getting stuck, sights falling out etc, etc.
Thanks
