Good afternoon everyone. I just ordered my first pistol for home defense. My Wife is a bit skittish about guns. I was able to finally talk her into buying a firearm but due to her being so uncomfortable, we're starting with the M&P22. I've shot the .22, 9mm and .40. I absolutely love the M&P series. My question is in regards to the .22LR. It seems the M&P22 with the 10 round clip is more expensive than the 12 round version. They seem like the same exact pistol besides capacity... Is the 10 round better for some reason? Thank you for your time in advance

The 10 round version is most likely a state complaint version of the pistol. This could mean it just has a smaller mag 10 rounds vs the 12 round. In some cases depending on the state this could mean other modifications to the firearm it just depends. Either case I always see the State complaint models going for more. There not really better then a normal version of the pistol.

Hope this answers your question.

And true it is. the 10 & 12 are the same size mag. Some one was pulling your leg charging you more for the 10 round. They are the EXACT handgun.

Jackrabbit000 is correct about the mag.

Thanks for your help fellas... I had read the same thing about the 10round mag being easily turned into a 12 as well. Looking forard to when it gets here. (Just found an M&P9 with 17R, 3 mags for $398, Cha-Ching)

I got 2 more mags for mine when I picked it up. When I saw them in the case I saw 12 rounders. Got home had one of each. Pulled the spacer, all better.
