I picked up mine this weekend. I was expecting the Shield to be slimmer than the M&P9C but I wasn't expecting it to be that much slimmer. It's even thinner throughout than my 908. Excellent pics.

The SHIELD is about the exact same size and weight as my Taurus PT709 SLIM in 9MM, which feels great in the hand, especially mine. Double stack handguns do not fit me well as my hands are smaller.

I'm going to be in the market for the S&W 9MM Shield based upon peoples TRIGGER and RESET opinions. I notice many people are interested in that model in 40 S&W which has not hit the marketplace yet. I think the 40 would be a little much for my and some female students tastes. A 40 for guys and LEO BUG is alright with me despite being a potential handful if YOU can handle the recoil.

A "J" frame and a 9MM SHIELD looks to be a GREAT CCW CHICAGO/NEW YORK RELOAD possibility.
