My M&P9FS is constantly shooting (POI) left of POA. I have put over 400 rds through it.
It appears to be about 2" off at 7 yds.
How hard is it to correct? I realize I have to drift the rear sight to the right, but is there
enough latitude in the rear sight adjustment to correct this much error?
I shoot .380, .40 and 9mm, so I don't think it is my shooting technic.

7 yds is about 39x a sight radius of 6.4", so I think the distance to move the sight is the 2" error divided by 39. That's about one-twentieth of an inch, or 1.3 millimeters.

And if that doesn't help, ship that bad boy back to S&W with a detailed letter. That pistol shouldn't be shooting heavily left. Just sayin'.

Have you tried shooting from a rest? I'm guessing your a righty? There is a target available to print to help with your shooting and what you might possibly doing wrong. First shoot from a rest. Something like a sand bag or a backpack to see if it is you and not the pistol shooting left.

Thank you for the primer on shooting, but as I said in my OP, I am not new to shooting. I have several auto loaders that I shoot on a weekly basis and I am sure the error it is not attributed to my lack of shooting skill.
The first thing I did was shoot from a rest! That is way I know the 2" error is in the line up of the sights!

I'm just trying to help here. I don't see in your op saying anything about your shooting background. My post was not in any way being trying to be disrespectful to you. If you took my post that way, I apologize.

We have four M&P and using the mark 1 eyeball to center front and rear sights would do better than 2" at 7 yards. Something is not right.

AR-Getsome:
No Disrespect taken! I merely wanted the posted thread to pertain to the sight adjustment and not drift off to all the many ways a shooter could possibly cause the error. If I came on a little too arrogant, I apologize.
