This one was on "the list" - K22, Model 17-4 6".
Been looking for K frame .22lr for a while. Very difficult to find in California, especially with the original box, tools, & papers.
This one's pretty much new except for the turn ring. Heck, the checkering on the grips are still sharp! Plus, I needed to fill this Viking holster I picked-up a while back. I knew I'd need it sooner or later.
I love it when a plan comes together.
I'd really appreciate it if some of you more knowledgable gentlemen would give me an approximate ship date on this one - serial #90K16XX.
Thanks in advance,

Bruce

I'm not more knowledgable but I do have the SCSW and it says 1980.
Looks like it has the target hammer and trigger.
Congrats, that's a nice one.

Thanks fellas,

An exceptional find here - I really favor the rimfires and have been shooting more .22's than anything else these days.

Congrats! You did real good on that baby. Now you need a 2" or 4" model 34 to compliment the 17.

I've been shooting alot of rimfires the last couple of years and love em. Good cheap fun thats improved shooting all of my calibers.

Congrats on the 17. Have 2 -3's and they're both tackdrivers.

I love S&W 22LR caliber revolvers and the 17-4 is a really good one.

Thanks again -

I've got this little J frame M63 4" also. I've heard so many comments that the K frame .22's are much more accurate than the J's tho (barrel length/sight radius vs. weight), I just needed to compare for myself.
Either way - can't have too many rimfires.

Here's a picture of mine, the box is not factory. I do have the factory box though. Great revolver. If I don't put the shot in the x-ring I know it is the loose nut holding the revolve
