M58 Letter

Just got letter for my M58, SN S313458, (shipped Sept '68) stamped SFPD on the frame. It shipped to the George Cake Co. Berkeley, CA. It was part of a 10 gun shipment. Anybody know anything about this company?
Gun has adjustable sights added after shipment, very professionally done, but Roy could not confirm factory work.
Anybody have a line on the SFPD Armory and records of gun issuance?

When I lived in the Bay Area "many" years ago, I vaguely remember the name. A quick internet search turned up this(obit for the company founder):

George F. Cake company was a very large police equipment distributor in California in the 1950's through the 1970's.

As noted, George F. Cake company was the main Law Enforcement distributer in the bay area for many years. My father bought his M15 and M36 from them when he was with the P.D. He retired in 1976 and we never went back. I bought my M14 from them. Not sure when they disappeared but a great company. SFPD, I am sure was the San Francisco Police Dept.
