Just bought my M&P9, and I absolutely love this pistol. I am having an issue with it and I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced it or heard of it that may offer me a solution. I am a left handed shooter, and as such I loved this pistol because it was completely ambidextrous. I picked up the gun at the shop and put about 75-100 rounds through it out of the box flawlessly. I decided to flip the magazine release around so I could operate it normally with my left hand. After either 7 or 10 rounds the weapon would fail to feed the next round. I ejected the magazine and found that the grey piece supporting the last round in the magazine (mag follower?)was catching on the cutout hole (on the left side) where the release catches to hold the magazine in the gun. I thought my handgrip was interfering with the release and forcing it to jam. Changed the hand grip and had the same result. I wondered if the catch for the mag release extends into the magazine enough to catch on the follower? Anyone else experienced this and can offer me advice before I contact S&W for more info. Any help appreciated... and I still love this gun!
