Hi all you S&W smart guys.Can anyone tell me the manufacture date for my S&W 39-2? The serial number is A529047 Thanks in advance.

According to the SCSW, 1978-1979.

I just bought a 39-2 from Cabelas. Serial #A286184. Can you tell me what year it was born?

A286184 should be late 1975 or early 1976.
