Best,
Mas

And I believe we should avail ourselves of the latest information on what is available. The subject matter is too important for us not to stay current. Take as one example, ammo. I remember the time when I wouldn't have been caught dead carrying a 9mm. Due to vastly improved ammo, now I feel well armed carrying a 9mm. In his book Mas let's us in on the ammo that is working best on the street. The book is worth the price just for this information alone. But there is much more in the book, like for example what you absolutely, positively must do as soon as the gunfire stops and what you must do anyway even if no shots were actually fired in the encounter. And the holster info. Man I have to say I learned a lot in that section.

Folks, don't miss this book.

I shall look into purchasing this one right soon. Thanks for starting the thread, Erich. I had no idea there was another book out.

I'm going to get both books and have put them in my Amazon cart to await payday.

I try to never miss out on good and sensible information, especially from trusted and reliable sources. Never pass up an opportunity to learn something useful.

Three ordered.
One for my Kid, one for BIL, and one for my old Chicago FFL. In hopes of his being able to "legally" carry one day!

my wife was asking what i wanted for christmas. i now have the names for two books to ask for. maybe we will leave these two home as stocking stuffers as i can just imagine what the immediate family would do if i open up two gifts and they are both handgun and ccw related.

I've read a BUNCH of Masaad's stuff over the years and every bit of it was instructional. The first book I read was "The Truth About Self Defense". If you haven't read the first chapter of that book then get a copy and do so. He really lets us know what we are up against.

Gun Digest Book of Combat Handgunnery

This is one of the best firearms related books I have ever purchased. It is so incredibly comprehensive and succinct. I started out with the Shoot to Live DVD and was hooked. I am also a huge fan of the Combat Handgun's Magazine articles as well. I am a huge fan. Sir I truly thank you for all you do.

Scott

I about 50 pages into the book and am really enjoying it. If you carry you should read this book.

My copies of both the Handgunnery & Concealed Carry arrived a few days back. This is Mas at his best. Having read the vast majority of his writings the past 4+ decades, yep, he's been around a long time; he hit a home-run on these books.
In particular, reflecting on another thread about cross-draw as a carry method, not only does he give the pros & cons of this method; but gives strong tips on overcoming the weaknesses. Very readable, very knowledgeable.
A must read for anyone that CC's.
Mas has evolved as an elder statesman of the shooting world.

I've got Combat Handgunnery, and I like it, so I will put the new one on the list.

Not that I've exactly mastered all the stuff in Combat Handgunnery.
