I would load 250 or 295gr. bullets. .452 The cyl. appears as strong as my heavy vaquero. Ace

Accurate Arms publishes a max of 12.0 AA9 under a 250gr lead bullet. I've shot this load a good bit, and get right at 900fps in a 4" barrel. You can up the load to +1000fps (I have), but there's no real point. The 12.0 load will make a 45cal hole clean through most anything you shoot, from most any angle, so upping the charge seems like a waste of powder and extra wear on the gun.

Good info on the 32000 psi max pressure.
30 cal carbine uses 13.5gr and .357 uses a simular charge. I use 18.5 in my Rugers behind 250 gr slug. Ace

Sorry. I thought you meant 45acp. The MG comes in both flavors. You'll find AA9 disappointing in 45Colt. Tends to be really dirty unless you raise pressures higher than Accurate suggests. AA5 works like a charm in the big case, and will get you 1000fps with the 250. AA9 won't do any better, but will give you a lot of unburned powder.

The load above is from their site. It will burn clean. It is for Ruger only but is 20,000 lbs. A 25 should handle it. Mine has so far. Ace
