About three weeks ago my mower killed over so I started shopping around for a new one I looked at an unnamed large chains web site and found out that they were having a sale on a particular riding mower with a 46 inch deck and a nice 20 hp engine along with a easy to use hydrostatic transmission for the wonderful price of 799. I know that's almost unheard of so I jumped on it and upon arrival to my residence ( they delivered it around 8 am) around that time I'm usually in bed still since I work at 3pm till 3 am) I didn't realize that the model that they dropped off was a 19 hp with a 42 inch deck with a belt driven auto trans. Also I noticed when I was initially purchasing the mower that the sale was dated to end on the 31st of this month, the mower I had purchased was marked back to it's normal price and the sale was taken down. I'm currious if they realized they messed up and took it off and delivered me what they could afford to eat the cost of and hope I didn't realize. Unfortunately I didn't notice till about 2 weeks later and now I have no clue what to do. I've already contacted customer service about this and they told me that the store would contact me in about 24hrs. I don't want to act like I'm being uptight about this but I feel as though if I'm paying for one product (even if the price is a mistake) I should be receiving said product and not a lower model. Any words for wisom would be greatly appreciated.

Take a breath, give the manager a chance to respond. Communicate calmly, you may be pleasantly surprised.

30th of the month my mistake. I didn't notice because the mower I received looks very close to the one I was supposed to receive. I'm just hoping they at least do something shoot I'd even take a sorry we messed up that would be fine as well

Wild guess here - you purchased a D140, and they delivered a D130 ? If so, you'll like the D130 more, but you're sure due a $$ adjustment.

Tell them you want them to take it back and give you the correct mower per the ad or a full refund.

What does your receipt say?

I'm really not even looking for a price adjustment I'm just wanting the item that I payed for rather than the step down. They got back to me around 3 hours after I made this thread and told me that the item was completely sold out and rather than leaving me hanging up to dry they gave me the item I received. No big deal I just wish they would have gave me a heads up from the get go

It has the mower info (sku, model number, deck size and so on) price including the added protection plan (not saying I don't trust the brand I went with I just would rather not run into a situation where I have to work on it.) And delivery fee and date of delivery

IF the info on the receipt matches what you received then on the surface it appears you accepted the substitution.

HOWEVER, if the info on the receipt matches what you thought you were getting, then if it were me I'd be telling them that as soon as they get one in stock they need to come swap it for the "down-graded" model they MISTAKENLY delivered to you. If the receipt doesn't even match the mower and you ever need to use that extended warranty in the future, you could be out of luck.

Of the model you have or the model you thought you were buying?

Seems pretty simple to me. Make a call and wait for your new mower to arrive . . .
I've already crossed that bridge, they don't have the one I was supposed to receive in stock and won't until next spring.. they offered a full refund but that doesn't quite fix the not having a mower issue. Seems I'm in quite a pickle

You wanted and paid for machine X......

They delivered machine Y ...........

Their mistake and they should fix or adjust the error to your liking.
There should be paper work some where unless a fly by night outfit.
