Cost? A couple of cents per bag might cut into General Mills 500% profit on a box of cereal. Can't have THAT.
Besides, when was the last time a box of cereal lasted long enough to get stale in most people's cupboards?
I mean, realistically, there are only 3 or 4 bowlfuls in one of those boxes anyway...
