Back in the 1700's, the Italian virtuoso violinist, Giuseppe Tartini wrote a sonata "(The Devil's Trill") so difficult that, according to legend, Tartini was inspired to write the sonata by a dream in which the Devil appeared at the foot of his bed playing the violin.
