A couple of nights ago I went out to dinner with my wife, and stopped at a couple of local gunstores on the way home. I saw a nice looking revolver in the case, and asked to see the model 15, only it wasn't a 15 but a combat masterpiece. Looked it over, checked the price, and put a deposit on it. It is a 4 inch combat masterpiece with a box, with used tools, no sight adjuster, with helpful hints brochure. Got it home today, it is in much better condition than I thought, only a little fading on the muzzle. serial numbers on frame, barrel, cylinder, extractor, and grips match. K1691xx, should be 1952. I can't find any evidence of any rework, I think it is original. I love it, can't wait to shoot it. I have a question about the originality of the box though, one end is marked for a 4 inch combat masterpiece with a paper label, and the other end is marked for a masterpiece 6 inch barrel printed on the box. Serial number is written on bottom, and side in black grease pencil, and the 6 on the masterpiece end is crossed off with the same black grease pencil. Correct box or not?
Don't hate me, but it was $375 plus tax, a total of $405. I know I did real well, but what would value be for everything?
Now the pictures I think the camera needs batteries, and I need practice.
