I had to read a time or two, but as I understand the stocks are made from a meteorite? I initially though a portion of the working parts were made from a meteorite, and I wondered how they accomplished that!?

It would be interesting to show this to John Browning to see what he says? I have seen his workshop, lathe, tools, etc brought west in a covered wagon. Now a $12 or 13k 1911! Wow!

I'll hazard a guess that the stock panels alone are worth ten grand of the almost $13k asking price.
