Looks like a great 45 Colt and Auto Rim bullet (or revolver on moon clip) projectile! Depending on seating depth it might make it as an ACP bullet, but that edge of the wide flat nose might cause hiccups in feeding.

I use the common RNFP seen in cowboy action shooting at 200-210 grains with 5.5gr of WW231 as my standard practice 45ACP , in revolvers, semiautos and PCC's. You can find them lubed or coated.

Brinell hardness of 20! Pretty darn hard, I didn't know they did anything over 18! I use their 200 grain Cowboy bullet at 12 Brinell for most of my .45 Colt and .45 AR shooting.

gonna agree on the 200 lrnfp in 45 acp/45 LC and most 45 AR. They are accurate, ex accuracy with HP-38 and reliable feeding in 45 acp. Started using them to consolidate the differing types of bullets i was buying. Acme now makes a coated 200 lrnfp without the grease groove that am intending on trying.

Got an inclination several years ago for a lower recoiling vermin load for my shorty 45 acp/ar's. Am back at it after almost a 4 year break. As you mentioned, the col is critical for feeding in 45 acp, and for overall easier feeding in 45 AR. They have proven to be excellent 45AR bullet, especially for the versions with shallower grooves.

So far have tried 1.188 col in 45 acp with HP-38 and Unique. The goal was to get about 760 to 800 fps from 3 in barrel. Got that, but not the reliable feeding for more extended use without cleaning. Will try 1.175 next range trip. 1.175 will leave minimum shoulder to remove belling groove onto full dia.

Then thought it may be helpful to ask, to see if anyone else had developed a load for them.

Imo, a 230 gn coated lrnfp with large meplat, no crimp or grease groove would be ideal. My brother had Lee make a custom run of these molds years ago, but i am not into bullet casting or coating.

I see WFP and WFN designations but that looks like a common SWC with a pronounced shoulder to me. Lee makes a lot of molds with a wide flat in SWC configuration and some of their 2R style bullets can even pass for LBT type shapes.

sure about that?
