I wish I could get my wife interested. She always feigns interest when I show her a new acquisition, but she wants nothing to do with firing one.

I'm not sure about the recoil. My theory...

I think that when women learn the right stance and hold and are able to relax, they can do well. I think it is because they are put together looser and more flexible and don't try to hold against the recoil like us macho men tend do. Their 'mass' is like rubber and just soaks up the recoil.
