Is it me or does everyone recently want to buy a 19 or 66 snub? Seems like the 3.5 27's have died down (still wouldn't mind having a few more!)and now everyone wants the K frame snub. I can remember buying those for $300-$350 all day long mint. What gives?

IMHO I think everybody ( Us Old Guys ) is tired of the Tacticool Semi-Auto.. with 1000 attached accesories, lights and lasers. They are getting back to basics.. Plus they are easy to carry and clean...

Good point. With all the first time buyers looking at the evil black guns, revolvers are becoming chique again to the normal gun owners. A snubbie is a simple and effective tool for home and carry.

I think it must be another example of nostalgia at work. Younger folks seem to get all misty eyed over virtually anything over 25 years old. It was the '50's and then the '60's, old Mustangs, vinyl records and who knows what else.

They're afraid Obama is going to take all the concealable guns first, so they're buying the snubs. An N frame is too hard to conceal, so they're not as desirable as a J or K Frame. Look on gunbroker and see how many normal, non-pimpified mod. 49's or 649's there are for sale.

Hell, I'm way over 25 and I don't see many younger folks geting misty eyed over
me....Drat!

Look for some Dan Wessons - N frames - great guns...bargain prices

Hey Gary - Headknocker - ya wif me?

I really like K frames, particularly the 2.5 and 3" guns. Apparently I am not alone. The thinking about the gun grabbers is not so unrealistic. In Canada they call any handgun with a barrel of less than 4.14" "strictly prohibited", or words to that effect. This length, while expressed in mm, was expressly designed to prohibit the most commonly used handguns in barrel lengths of 4" and under. This is not my being paranoid, I got this straight from a senior officer in the RCMP. The libs picked a barrel length that would prohibit the maximum number of revolvers and pistols, but could base it on "concealibility". Look for the Obamamaniacs to do something similar.
