Mod 25-2 .45 ACP cut down to 2.5" barrel?

You are all correct on my 25-2! Got my Factory Letter back today and it was shipped to John Jovino on Dec 29, 1983 in a lot of 650 units. Shipped as a .45 ACP Target Model of 1955 Model 25-2. with 6 inch barrel, white out line rear sight and combat stocks. They said these guns were probably cut down to the 2.5 inch barrel length by the Jovino Company to sell as a special item. Definitely good news, and to confirm the story about the 650 unit lot of guns!

Seems a bit odd to me it shipped with combat grips.
Someone stop by and see if there are 650 sets of those down there for me.

I have a 4 inch 25-5 that shipped to Jovino, but it was not modified. Most likely just got sold the way it came in.
