I visited my LGS on Wednesday 29 Apr, and found this gem in the case. I picked it up yesterday (working seven days a week, finally got a day off) Serial number dates it to 1969. It's a strong 97% with barely a turn line. I've been looking for a two-inch Model 10 for some time now and my favorite LGS came through once again. Here are a couple of pics.:)

You certainly are lucky. The gun is a real beauty.
Isn't it great to find a gem in your LGS?
My 10-5 (square butt snub) was also an unexpected LGS find and I remember feeling how lucky I was.

My 10-5 is also a square butt, wanted a round butt but I found a like new square butt at a gun show and couldn't pass it up. I carry my mod 64 snub more often but I still like having the 10-5 snub handy.

Very nice pick up... I've got a "NIB" square butt from 1968, I often think of the time that snub nose was made... MLK, RFK and Chicago Democratic convention... What a time!

Very cool looking Model 10. I have looked off & on for a few years. Still hasn't happened. Enjoy it! Bob

Here are my 2- pre 10 snubbys the one on the right gets a lot of mileage, the one on the left doesnt see much daylight. My preference is the fixed sight 2 inch and 4 inch revolver. You have to have at least one but it never ends up like that. Fredo excellent grab that is in great shape.

Enjoy Pete

I've been looking for a K-frame snub for a while and non can be found in my neck do the woods. I'm so jealous....congratulations nonetheless and enjoy it!!!

Great find. I got one about 4 years ago.
That was the first one I had seen in many years.

I've been looking for one of these guys for quite some time and consider myself blessed to have found this one. I visit this store at least once maybe twice a week (have been for at least nine years). This is the first two-inch Model 10 I've seen there. I've picked up a couple of other hard to find Smith & Wesson revolvers at this store as well. Great staff there too!

I just got lucky today and bought one from the daughter of a police officer who passed of old age. He used it as a back up. She even gave me his ankle holster with the gun for a steal price of two hundred dollars. I feel so blessed and lucky.......
