Model 10 Snubby Picture Thread!

I only own 1 Model 10 snub... normally my K- frame guns have 4 or 6” barrels and my snubs are on small frames. Anyway, I got this Model 10-7 as a sweetener in a trade and let my late father have it. My gunsmith bobbed the hammer for him and I replaced the smooth combats (for a square butt ) that came on it with original type RB Magnas ant a Tyler T-grip. About 6 months before he passed he gifted it back to me... AFAIK he never actually carried it in the 20+ years he owned it.

Update: I have a younger brother who has a few guns but is not a “gun person” as such. His “house gun” for several years had come through the family from an uncle who passed away many years ago and he decided to pass it back to our cousin since it had been his dad’s. I decided that a nice “Point and Shoot” revolver would suit his needs, so it’s got a new assignment. It stays in the family and is where it will be useful. :)

!980 vintage. Grips are earlier.

While I usually prefer halfmoon front sights and long action hammers...…….this is one beautiful snubnosed revolver.

I have been meaning to get back to you, I never got a chance to comment and every time I came back, I got distracted by more pics, but that is a really great drawing. Very very well done. I can't draw a stick figure to save my life so I love nice hand drawn things especially stuff I like such as a revolver. Very cool. I saved that picture to my phone.

Wow, thank you very much for the compliments. I'm glad you like it enough to DL to your phone! That revolver is particularly beautiful and the original pic is really nice too. I would love one like that.

Some of these don't look as good after water got to them from the fire:

But this one is still perfect:

Okay, I apologize - I get so carried away with snubbies that I forgot this was a Model 10 thread!!!! Ignore the non-Model 10s, then!

But this one is still perfect. Are those Spegel boots?

I didn't have a Mod. 10 with a 2" barrel until last week! My LGS owner called me and stated that he taken one in on a trade. This one is in 95%+ condition with a faint turn line. It is a round butt and the grips are numbered to the gun.

Added a better photo.

Couldn't agree more.

Top is a 4 screw pre 10, with an abbreviated hammer.

Bottom is a birth year 1947 S prefix. Super smooth action. You can click on the pic for a better view.

That is a very nice pair of guns. I really want a RB nickel and blued Mod. 10 and a SB pair as well. I love pairs with both finishes and it's nice when one has a stainless finish and it's in the mix as well.

Model 10 with adjustable sights. :o:rolleyes::eek:

OK, fine; it's a 15-3... ;)

Nice! I have one as well. It just needs its fraternal twin to join it. One day I'll have the nickel version. I just wish they made a snub Mod. 67 as well, and I've seen a couple stainless ones, but I'm sure they were made by someone. I am pretty positive they didn't make a snubby 67.
