Model 10s-$140 4"

Well, here it is, my Model 10-8 heavy barrel after I removed the Pachy grips, sideplate and cylinder and sprayed it with brake clean then oiled with Breakfree. She's wearing N-frame magnas from Eagle grips, which are a little too big, but they're all I got for wood grips. I wish I could find a set of square butt magnas, but I sure don't want anything fancy. Anyway, gun looks pretty good; picture sucks, but I was impressed by the overall appearance. Seems a little out of time. I can drag my hand against the cylinder and cock it slow and it's not quite in the notch with the hammer fully back. But cocking normally and a regular double action pull are just fine. Just gonna carry it some and hopefully shoot it a lot. I love the appearance actually; I figure it might tell a good story. Good folks to deal with and the gun is really better than described. If I had the funds right now, I'd buy another.

This all we until further notice!

Ok guys heres what we got until the next shipment.

1-5 screw round butt with missing firing pin,and cylinder release button for $110.00

2-model 15's one straight grip pachmeyer, one finger groove pachmyer, $205.00
1-colt police positives,one no grips,. $190.00

1-colt police positive with finger groove pachmeyers, and bad timing I think. It binds up if you put a little pressure on the cylinder. It cycles fine with no pressure, but if you put a little drag on the cylinder with your thumb it binds up. $75.00

We called and left messages with some people, but who ever calls first gets them.
I will re-post when the next batch comes in.
Thanks guys
John

There have been so many I wanted to keep, but how many .38's do you need?

Counting my 10-11 and my wife's 10-14, plus the five I just ordered (four model 10s and one model 15), I'm gonna say SEVEN.

We ride our ATVs in some pretty badger-infested (and dusty) places, and I grew tired of taking my autos down to the bare frame to clean them. These model 10s should fit the bill quite nicely.

X50 on the friendly service from Jer's. I'll post pics when they arrive.

Anybody know where to get the right grips for a Victory model? Not necessarily originals (probably cost more than I want to spend), but repros will work fine. Just want it to LOOK right. Got two coming in from Jers. One that looks like it's gonna be my birth-year:D and the aforementioned Victory model. Neither has grips. I'm pretty sure I've got a pair of square-butt diamond magnas around here, but the Victory I ain't got none of.

Had to revive this thread just one more time. Here's a pic of my $140.00 Model 10 target from today at the range. Granted, this is only ten yards, but I believe it works as it should. I had my gunsmith put in a 14lb rebound spring, which decreased double action effort tremendously, even though we didn't touch the mainspring. We also installed a .002" thick endshake bearing and tightened the gun considerably this way as well. I've still got the N-frame magnas on it, but I have a lead on some K-frame stocks. I sure am glad this police department or security agency or whatever it was got rid of these old, outdated revolvers. I'd hate to think these guys were carrying weapons that just wouldn't shoot.

got mine a few days ago....4" heavy barrel....

took to range yesterday....

the cosmetics are as expected and the cylinders are a bit leaded...
No end shakes, just a little hand-wobble...

trigger is smooth but breaks at around 46~48 oz...

3 trips through the falling plate rack at 20 yards with NO MISSES!!!!

I'm totally impressed....44 year old spinster finds love once again!!!!

Hey Guys,
we have been getting jerked around by this company that is supplying these guns.
We have been promised 50 guns by the end of next week. Sorry for the false dates we have given some of you.
I'll post again when they arrive.
Thanks for your patience
John

Flivver,

My last emails to John indicate they have no updates. I think the "source" has gone dry. If they become available once more, don't hesitate and place your order promptly.

Best of luck,

Dave
