Well, the Pawn shop Gods have been very good to me lately. Wife and I visited three or four locations and as luck has it the last one (which was the tiniest hole in the wall) had something that fancied me. I've been looking for a model 18 for several years now and since the shopkeeper was in a good mood, I walked away with this for $500 total. Very happy. I apologize for the quality of the pictures in advance.

Congratulations on a very fine purchase! The 4 inch K 22 Masterpieces. in 22 LR are a great joy.

As a consolation, should your wife make a claim, you might consider another for yourself, or even a K 38 Masterpiece Model 15 or pre-! The 15's .38 caliber is also a great treat.

Beautiful revolver, great price. A local PS here also has one for $1200. He's willing to knock off $50, so he still has it.

You got an excellent handgun at an outstanding price. One warning, if you let your wife shoot it you may not get it back.

Ain't that the truth!!! My wife shot my 15-4 and declared it her own. She let's me look at it from time to time.

Congrats on your 18!

God bless,
Birdgun

When my wife first shot my Model of 1953 Kit Gun, she fell in love with it. The following Christmas, I gave her one of her own. Now mine is safe. :D

S&W Model 18...The most fun you can have with your clothes on!

For even more, drop in a 648 cylinder for 22 Mag Fun! (Okay it's not really a drop in, but not too difficult either). One revolver becomes two with no damage to your 18 whatsoever.

I just picked up her sister model today. It's a 17-4 made in 1983, and a solid 98% condition finish wise. 499 + tax and 20 for the transfer. The only down side was the smooth target grip has a small scuff. Three 3s though.

I wasn't back home more than a minute before I was scrambling for a box of ammo.

Another excellent deal :)

The Model 18 is my favorite S&W revolver. Mine sees more range time than any other gun I own. I give this gun full credit for teaching me how to shoot a DA revolver. ;)
You got an outstanding gun at an excellent price. ENJOY! :D

Oh wow, you did good! I had mine out shooting last weekend - I really enjoy that thing. I do believe I had a big grin the whole time! :)

I found this one locally for $800 last year. I'm a sucker for the 3T's. Shot a lot of CCI Quiets with it in the basement this winter. Looks better in real life.
