I can't seem to get a clear answer on this.

One youtube "reviewer" even talks about his new gun, and about how he doesn't mind the sleeved barrel, and while displaying the muzzle that to me looks like IT IS NOT SLEEVED.

The picture on the Smith and Wesson website looks like it is NOT SLEEVED.

So that's my question: Does the Model 29 "Classic" have a one-piece barrel, or does it have the newfangled "sleeved" or "shrouded" multi-piece barrel?

There seem to be quite a few of these for sale at reasonable price. Yes, it does have "THE LOCK" - which I could get over if I could convince myself I "got a good deal." And I can DEFEAT the lock simply for the purpose of doing it on principle
But I won't be adding it to my collection unless its a one-piece barrel. The multi-piece barrel doesn't suit me at all. Its like the stop/start feature on cars. Nobody asked for it. Nobody wants it. Don't think there's any way to defeat the multi-piece barrel either.

Maybe I should just wait for them to offer a blued version of the Mountain Gun. But I have incurable diseases (only one of them being "compulsive firearm acquisition syndrome) killing me, and if I wait any longer, well... I might buy a Taurus. In which case bring the straightjacket for me.

I just did some looking. From everything I've read, the Model 29-10 (which is the Classic) does not have a 2-piece barrel. I found one dark, grainy photo on GB that made it almost look as if it did, but found numerous sources saying it does not.

I just watched the video the OP linked, and you can clearly see it is NOT a 2-piece barrel when the reviewer says it is.
