Somehow I managed to bend the extractor rod on my mod 36 2".
I took it apart and sure enough, it rolled with a wobble.
I just got a new one in the mail from Brownells.
I screwed it in and closed it up. The cylinder turns fine, and when I push the rod it moves freely in the cylinder, but, when I try to open the cylinder by pushing the cylinder release, it doesn't want to open from the frame. I tapped it with a rubber mallet and it opens, but it won't open by hand. I measured the old and the new rods. The old one is 1.2655" and the new one is 1.2700".
Is this difference in length the problem, and I so, I was thinking of filing down the non knerled end a tad. Would this be a good idea?
