Model 38 Body guard durability

I am finding some for sale. What do I need to worry about?
These are the older ones.

I know I can't shoot hot ammo. I understand some have problems with cracked frames. I do want it for light use.

Look for a crack under the frame where the forcing cone is.
Can be hard to see.
The one I had was......
It's gone now & replaced with a old M49.
