If anyone has been looking for one of these elusive items for the 59/459/559/659 recently, there is a BIN listing on Ebay at a decent price with two items left. Search "59 arched".

Yes, those were a factory optional accessory, IIRC made of plastic.

I have big hands and find the Model 59 large in the hand, that backstrap is going to make it even bigger.

If I had known such a thing existed, I might have bought a 59.

Wasn't sure about the posting rules, and since I'm all ready "bad"
about vaguely mentioning an item on auction, I didn't post about
this. I got one last week, and it is great. Of course it's a drop in
fit. This seller is excellent. Really nice guy. Cool stuff offered.

Thanks for posting this. I've been searching high and low for one of these, but they've been unobtanium until now. I hopped on one right away at that price.
