I have a chance to get a Model 60-10 .357 Magnum just like this one.

Does anyone use one of these as a carry gun? I like a 3 inch .357 K frame but this J frame would be a little lighter. I'd like to hear some opinions on this one. The one that I'm looking at is a no lock and I can get it at a pretty good deal.

I like those Model 60's! The FULLY adjustable rear sight puts that revolver way ahead of the cast metal competition. I'm in the market for one those w/o the lock myself.

60-10

I have a 60-10 and I like it. The 3" barrel is a decent size for some accuracy. Get it. If you want a shorter barrel, get a 60-9.

I like my 60-10, I consider it to be the ultimate "kit gun". Carries easily, but plenty of power if you need it, and quite accurate. I mostly shoot 38 spl level handloads, full power 357 loads are quite snappy. One of the best of the j frames IMO.

I like it. I recommend wooden SB conversion grips and +P's or toned down handloads.
